On April 24th Richloam Sportsman Association assisted the Sumter County Longbeards with the Little Jakes fishing event held at the Richloam hatchery. This event was attended by over 424 kids and their parents. FWC had their K9 unit there and the helicopter. Gary Marriage ran the archery portion of the day. RSA ran the fishing portion of this event and we had about 30 representatives from our organization present. Thank you to everyone who assisted in tying hooks onto new fishing rods, keeping count of the number of fish caught by each child, handing out tackle boxes and handing out all the wrigglers. At times there were more kids in line waiting on their new fishing rod than we had hands tying the hooks. The day went off without a hitch and all of our volunteers were greatly appreciated. The Sumter County Longbeards thanked RSA for running the fishing tournament portion of this event.
